Jamaican Bolt Back to Athlectics with Relay Race

The Jamaican Usain Bolt reappeared in an athletic competition when participating in a relay race at the National Stadium in Kingston. Bolt, six-time Olympic champion, started his season with his participation in the 4x100m relay series of Gibson McCook Memoral.

The multi-champion ran the last part in 9.7 seconds and helped his team -composed of Mario Forsythe, Michael Frater and Warren Weir- to win the race.

Bolt´s four-member team made a time of 39.26 seconds, the second fastest time of the series, following the 38.87 made by the team of the Technological University of Kingston.

The Jamaican champion, a 100 and 200 meter world record holder (9.58) and (19.19); respectively, was to debut this season on 14 February in a 400-meter race, also in Kingston, but he desisted.
