Court orders release of alleged ISIS-bound Jamaican teen

The 16-year-old St Mary boy who is accused of trying to join ISIS, was today released by the St Mary Resident Magistrate’s Court.

The court also ordered that he be supervised over a two-year period.

The teen was reportedly sent back to Jamaica recently, after being stopped in Suriname over allegations that he was travelling to Turkey to join the terror Islamic network.

His matter was yesterday transferred to the St Mary court after the judge said she had no jurisdiction to hear the matter.
