Maduro Proposes to Hold People”s Summit in Caracas

The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, proposed holding a People”s Summit in this capital, to discuss the UN’s 17 goals of sustainable development, reviews national television here today.

During a meeting last night at New York’s Harlem community, with African descent leaders, the Venezuelan president considered that in the proposed meeting, movements and social groups can make contributions to the strategy of the international governing body.

Maduro also added that in his speech, scheduled for today, will present to the UN a new antiterrorist alliance to build peace in villages and end the hypocrisy in combating this scourge.

It is an indispensable and essential condition for the fulfillment of the objectives of the UN: to stop the war and to start building humanity, he stressed.
