Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago assessed Friday in Caracas the progress of the gas projects agreed between both countries, specifically that regarding the inter-connection works for gas production.
That project will allow in its first stage to produce 150 million cubic feet of gas, said the Venezuelan minister for Oil and Mining, Nelson Martinez, after a meeting with Stuart Young, minister in the Office of the Prime Minister and Minister in the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs.
The energy initiative will go from the field Dragon, in the state of Sucre up to the platform Hibiscus, located in Trinidad and Tobago, the Venezuelan official explained.
He also said the visit to Venezuela by the Caribbean delegation responds to a follow up meeting to review the bilateral agreements that materialized thanks to the agreements signed by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Keith Rowley.
‘In the relation between these countries, the values of solidarity, complementariness and the legacy by Supreme Commander Hugo Chavez prevail through the implementation of initiatives for regional integration,’ he said.
