The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced Wednesday a plan of assassination against him orchestrated by the United States Government with the support of the national right-wing.

He blamed the opposition leader Julio Borges, for any attack on his life or against the stability of the Republic.

“I make you responsible (Julio Borges) for any acts of violence against the Republic, or any attack against me. They have given the order to assassinate the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela from the Oval Office,” of the White House of United States,” said the head of State from the Palace of Miraflores, in Caracas, where he held a meeting with governors and revolutionary candidates.

Borges is one of the main promoters of the interventionist campaign against Venezuela. In recent weeks, Borges held meetings with senior US government spokesmen to request an attack against the country.

Likewise, from the National Assembly – Public Power that persists in the constitutional contempt – has been the promoter of a campaign of discredit abroad against the country.

Following these meetings, Donald Trump’s government stepped up attacks on the South American nation, with the imposition of an open financial blockade against the state oil company PDVSA – main Venezuelan industry – accompanied by a threat of military invasion to the Caribbean country.

In 2014 – the year in which the guarimbas and violent actions were initiated by the Venezuelan opposition – the Ministry for Internal Affairs, Justice and Peace captured two Colombian paramilitaries who are members of Operation Yellow Folder (Carpeta Amarilla in Spanish).

During this operation, two rifles equipped with laser sights, and a photo of President Maduro, along with socialist leader Diosdado Cabello were seized to the Colombian paramilitaries.

A similar action occurred in 2015, when an attempt of coup was foiled, to be executed by members of the Military Aviation. Authorities denounced that this act, involving opposition leaders with US backing, intended to bomb the Miraflores Palace.
