Here is a look at the weather according to the Barbados Meteorological Services.
Today and tonight should be generally cloudy and breezy with some scattered moderate to heavy showers, periods of rain and possible isolated thunderstorms, as a tropical wave which is approaching the island will start to affect Barbados.
Winds are coming from the east to east-northeast at 5 to 40 km/h with higher gusts near showers, while seas are moderate to rough in open water with swells from 2.0m to 3.0m. A small craft warning is therefore in effect for above normal sea swells.
Meanwhile, the flood-warning for Barbados has been discontinued even though “an extensive cloud-mass remains well entrenched across the Lesser Antilles. However, radar imagery shows a general reduction in showers in the immediate vicinity of Barbados.”
Sunrise was at 5:49 am and sunset is expected at 5:39 pm.
